?? 1993 - Pentagon was formed by Mohammad Ali Sumon, Shouquat Ali Imon, Ranjan, Shelly and Babu in 1993. After leaving two of the most famous bands of 90's, Winning and Chime ... Ranjan and Sumon felt a profound desire to get back to where they belonged, their destiny - Music !! Soon they got hold of three other talented musicians. Imon, who happens to be Sumon's younger brother, had left Chime; on the other hand, Babu and Shelly had quit Winning. So once approached, they received a big response from them. They got together on the 13th of October 1993, named the band PENTAGON with a desperate pledge to come up with some sophisticated creations.
?? Pentagon's debut show was a dinner-dance at Shangrila restaurant at Banani. They used to perform Bengali, English, Latin/Spanish, Arabic, Jamaican and Portuguese songs.
?? 1997 - This year S.A.Imon decided to leave the band. Anan replaced him on the keys shortly and after few days Tipu (Warfaze) joined as a percussionist.
?? 2002 - Pentagon's first album 'Shei Ami' was released under the banner of Ektaar music.
?? After Anan, Mahbub, Babu and Shelly got busy with their personal lives ... Morshed, Faisal, Alif, Aumi, Mehedi, Shamim and Tahsir joined the band subsequently.
?? 2004 - Pentagon was invited by Tara Bangla channel who wanted to promote Bangladeshi music in a joint collaboration with MTV. They went to Mumbai and had ten music videos shot from their first album. The music videos are still being aired on Tara Bangla channel under MTV logo regularly.
?? 2009 - Pentagon's second album 'Eight O' Clock' was released under the banner of G Series.
