Ever since the release of Piya ki Nazariya back in 2009, the music scene has been abuzz about the young refreshing voice with an impeccable sense of musical grammar and tremendous control over the classical genre – Nazia Ahmed has been the talk of the town amongst the music mongers. With a 15 year training on North Indian Classical from Guru Ma Shipra Khan from the West Bengal, Nazia Ahmed has also had training in folk music to add to that, she has done semesters at summer schools in U.K training on Gospel and Western Composition– versatility par excellence!

In 2009, Nazia Won the Best vocalist award in a competition Organized by Punjab University Chandigarh, The South Asian Youth Festival (SAUFEST) among artists from India, Nepal, Bhutan, and many other SAARC countries.

Her musical career kicked start back in 2007 when she joined Arnob and Friends as the lead female vocalist. The band took off for their North America and Europe world tour in late 2008 and despite sharing stage with one of the best artist of contemporary times, Nazia Ahmed left her mark among the audience with her undeniably honest and melodious voice. With rave reviews from the audience and critics, her songs in the album were widely accepted while Piya ki Nazariya stayed topping the charts of all Radio Stations for weeks. Responding to this heartwarming response, she formed her own band – "Don`t Ask", who perform North Indian Classical Music fused with western sounds and instruments.
