Biography

The whole purpose of the name Curry Quiche is to sound different without sounding pretentious. The style of music we play can’t really be slotted into any genre and this is completely intentional as we hope to sound different and actually mean it.

We are influenced by a diverse range of music. Some of those bands include; Stranglers, The Damned, TSOL the Specials, Devo, The Cardiac’s, Tom Waits, Nick Cave, Captain Beefheart, Mike Patton., Jeff Lynne, Ray Davies, Brian Wilson, Eighties Matchbox B Line Disaster, The shins, Grandaddy, Unsane, The Aliens, and The Eels.

Our music is also inspired by social decline in England and how Technology has become more important than having friends and other human relationships. Our some what negative approach to song writing is influenced by our surroundings where economic decline has taken a big hit on our home town of Rotherham. Our concept album titled ‘1 Seed, No Leeches’ reflects this as will our up coming album, ‘Behind The Machine’
