After forming in the era when thrash metal was its infant stages in Sylhet, PSYCHOTRON has become an influential band in the Sylhet UG, representing the thrash genre which was long under represented!!!
"PSYCHOTRON" is a Heavy, Thrash, Groove Metal band from SYLHET metro, started their journey on 18th August, 2011. This is basically a project from a group of friends. Dhrupo as a guitarist & Arnob as a bassist were playing together in a band earlier for two years. After one year, Emon joined them as drummer. Raziul a.k.a Tartarus, was the latest member as vocals of that band where Dhrupo, Arnob & Emon were playing for. Later in the days, from such thoughts of them as they wanted to kick peep's ass & crush their diddy heads by burning the nerves from deep inside to bleed the floor with their PSYCHO deeds, they had to think of forming a totally new band. As a result, "PSYCHOTRON" was formed!!!!!!!
After forming the band, they looked forward to get another guitarist. After a long search, they got MD. Rahat Hussein Khan!!!!!!!! "PSYCHOTRON" started killing peep's mind with heavy note per note riffs of Rahat, blastering drumming of Emon, fast solos of Dhrupo, groovy bass strokes of Arnob and heavy vocals of Tartarus!!!!!!!! \\m//
During a critical phase of the band, when Dhrupo was ready to leave this town to complete his study, Muttaki J. Shafayath (Nordic Shadows) agreed to uphold his gear to help PSYCHOTRON in their jamming sessions and stage appearances!!!! Now he is working with PSYCHOTRON in their own compositions and covers and he will be working with PSYCHOTRON!!
