Biography

MasterStroke is a Symphonic Metal Band, appearance From Bangladesh. Basically the band started as "Crush n Burn", which was intended to be a Progressive Metal / Heavy Metal & sub-genres. The Band started as a Chittagong University based group at first, formed by Emteaz Ahmed Epu (Drummer) with Sami in Guitars. As a result of past acquaintance of Epu and Sami-Tarek , Adnan & Riad joined simultaneously at the jamming sessions with those two as their Vocalist, second lead guitarist & Bassist, respectively. Masterstroke then, started to roll and began to cover some Bangla & English popular rock/metal numbers. The band felt the urgent need of a Keyboardist at an instant for more versatile and strong compositions, which resulted in the inclusion of Ashek to play the instrument right away. However, Sami and Adnan were unable to continue with the band, for their studies and some personal reasons. So after almost a year of hiatus, the band was formed again and finally the search of guitar players came to an end. Rizwan and Tanvir joined as the two lead guitar players to keep the band rolling again, But suddenly Rizwan left the band some personal reasons, as to break the band’s almost 3 months of hiatus. Tanvir as well could not continue with the band due to his personal life and increasing pressure of studies.. Wafi Ahmed joined in as his replacement and In-Sha-Allah together we will have a great journey ahead with our best coordination

They covered a few songs of Nightwish, Stratovarius, Symphoni X, Sonata Arctica, Kemalot, and Cryptic fate , Aurthohin (Bangladesh) and composed a cover version of Chol Chol Chol by Kazi Nazrul Islam. Now, MasterStroke tuning some own songs and compositions, Masterstroke is running pretty fine and healthy.
